I just woke up from my nap after dreaming about me being late for school(which is true for this morning).

Hello!

Went Sherica's house to bake Mandy's Popeyes biscuit for her as birthday present. It turns out super freaking nice leh! But hor, only when it's hot out of oven. So Mandy, heat it a bit before eating!





Me, Doreen and Min Qi delivered it to under her block and got invited to a BBQ. Went back to Sherica's house to clean up as well as persuading her like siao to join the BBQ. Finally, after a long time, she agreed. :D





Was quite boring at first but it turns out nice overall la. And Sherica made a video imitating Chris Crocker's 'LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!'. But she changed it to 'LEAVE ME ALONE!'. Very funny to us but maybe not to you. :)

Cinderella.

I guess, many of your should know the story of Cinderella. Yea, the Disney version. But what about the earliest version? The Japan version? The Korea version? Or even the Philippines version?

Bet many of your don't even know that the Disney version is the not earliest version of the story.

The earliest version of the Cinderella(Opps! Or rather, The story of Rhodopis.)

Rhodopis (the "rosy-cheeked"), a Greek slave, works in the household of her Egyptian master. Though kind, her elderly master spends most of his time sleeping, and is therefore unaware of her harsh treatment at the hands of his other servant girls. Because Rhodopis is both fair-complexioned and a foreign slave, the other servants tease her and order her around.

After her master sees Rhodopis dancing skillfully by herself, he gives her a pair of rose-gilded slippers. The other servants resent this treatment and use Rhodopis more harshly than before.
One day, Pharaoh Ahmose I invites the people of Egypt to a celebration in Memphis. The other servants prevent Rhodopis from attending with them by giving her a long list of chores to complete.

While she is down by the river washing clothes, her slippers become wet and she places them in the sun to dry. Suddenly, the falcon Horus swoops down, snatches one of the slippers, and flies away with it. Rhodopis stores the other slipper in her clothing.

During the celebration in Memphis, the falcon drops the slipper in the Pharaoh’s lap. Realizing that it is a sign from Horus, he decrees that all the maidens of the kingdom must try on the slipper, and that he will marry the one whose foot it fits.

The Pharaoh’s search for the owner of the slipper eventually leads him to Rhodopis’ home.

Though Rhodopis hides when she sees the Pharaoh’s barge, he sees her and asks her to try the slipper. After demonstrating that it fits her, she pulls out its mate, and the Pharaoh declares that he will marry her.

Aesop(A ancient story-teller) has a brief mention in this story. When she was a slave before she moved into the Egyptian household, Rhodopis had been acquainted with Aesop, who told her many stories.

And I found something even more interesting! And it is that Cinderella really exsist! I'm not joking! See it for yourself!

Last day of school.; sortof

Got back my result slips today.
Not as jialat as i thought it would be as alot of my subject marks were pulled up.
Only failed combined sci by 3 marks.

Received a pen, chocolate and........double eyelids sticker from mrs goh while collecting the result slip! xD
Hee, she remembered that i wanted the sticker!

Mr happy-and-cute-old-man Tang's leaving us already... =/
Shall always rmb my first treat from a teacher outside school;
an iced milo drink. =X

Really hope that Mrs goh will be our Form teacher next year lor.
Used to dislike her during my sec1 and 2 days.
But after knowing her this year, she's really uber nice and cute with her act cute words and rewards.
This kind of motherly and naggy teacher, where to find?!?! :P

Firstly,

Had grooming and social etiquette ytd.
The 1 that teaches you how to dress well and eat in those high class restaurants.
was brought to yishun safra Eatzi there to learn how to dine nicely lor.
but we went to a slightly smaller ballroom to dine instead of the restaurant.

First up, soup and garlic bread

But cannot start eating it first lor!
Need to wait till every table got the food then can start eating.
End up my soup become slightly warm and...sticky?

Next up, humongous chicken thighs waith mash potato and mix veggies.

Sibei huge lor!
Compare the size of the fork and the meat.
No 1 in my table managed to finish up the chicken completely lor.
Ying eat till uber sian cus the portion is too big and the meat ain't tender at all.

But no1 care much lor, so we stay there for the whole recess and ran off to the AVA room for a talk after that.
